VRSS proudly hosted an EMDs knowledge sharing event at our unique Calibration Facility located at Nimr workshop.

Introduction of the latest generation of EPST (Enhanced Passive Sonic Tool), April 2023. The latest generation of EPST includes a unique Vibroacoustic module which allows differentiation between horizontal and vertical components of flow. Trials were successfully concluded and objective of trial achieved: detection of leak, detection of crossflow behind casings and reservoir flow analysis.

Introduction of the latest generation of EMDs corrosion logging tools, Feb 2023. The latest generation of EMDs tool can accommodate a long coil for better coverage of the 4th barrier. The tool can be run in real time (telemetry module) as well as memory (battery). Three trials were successfully concluded and the tool is now available as part of our suite of corrosion logging services.

• Feb 2023

Yard Test, PDO Jan 2023. VRSS participated in a Corrosion Logging Tool Comparison test organized by PDO in a controlled environment where several Logging Companies were invited to participate. This was a blind test where VRSS ran the E/M corrosion tool through five quadruple and triple string set-ups with defects in the different barriers. The test objectives were fully achieved in that all defects and areas of metal loss were accurately identified.
